Imagination. Confidence. Fun.

Do you sometimes forget that teaching is fun?

Being a Waldorf teacher isn't easy. But it doesn't have to be so hard. End each day feeling good, get a full night's sleep and be ready for another great day tomorrow. My Practical Art of the Waldorf Classroom course can help you create the classroom of your dreams -- and still get some sleep every night.

TEACH WITH CONFIDENCE

Your Life's Work

Waldorf teachers know all too well the meaning of this phrase. Teaching is a vocation. It is a calling to which we have given our lives.

But too often, inspired and enthusiastic teachers leave the classroom feeling disheartened by long hours, lack of sleep, feelings of isolation and complete overwhelm brought on by a career that completely engulfs their lives.

Those of us who continue feel a tremendous sense of duty towards our students and we know that this work we're doing is IMPORTANT!

We better get it right!

A TEACHER'S LIFE

Does this sound familiar?

When I first started teaching I was inspired by the potential of Waldorf Education and I was determined to make it come to life in my own classroom. I stayed up into the wee hours preparing lessons. I thought about my students day and night. I reflected on my lessons and criticized myself, feeling that they never measured up to the ideal.

When it came down to it. I didn't know how to prepare lessons efficiently. I didn't know how to make the most of my time. And I certainly didn't have the experience or expertise to critique my lessons. I also had a young family at home that needed my attention more than ever!

I loved my students and gave them everything I had, but at the end of each day, it never felt like enough.

"A mentor is someone who helps you to see the hope inside yourself."

The Practical Art of the Waldorf Classroom

Strong mentorship made the difference for me, and it's why I still love teaching today. In fact, I think we would have more amazing teachers out there, if every new educator had the opportunity for mentorship. This is why I created my series of online, self-paced mentoring courses.

Advice is given over a course of weeks. Practical suggestions are implemented in real time. Teachers can ask questions and tap into resources as they need them, rather than hoping to find an available colleague or waiting for the school to hire an expensive in-person mentor.

This real-time collaborative approach allows teachers to improve rapidly, build confidence, enjoy their students, appreciate their accomplishments and FEEL GOOD about their work.

The result is a teacher who experiences less stress, makes the most of her time and actually has FUN teaching.

TEACHERS HELPING TEACHERS

Course Teacher

Meredith Floyd-Preston has been a Waldorf class teacher for over ten years. She has blogged about her experience at A Waldorf Journey since 2010. She is passionate about helping teachers realize the magic of Waldorf in their classrooms.

For the past few years she has been providing mentorship and evaluation services, as well as leading Productivity Courses through her online platform. Through these courses she has seen many teachers build confidence and enthusiasm for their work in the classroom.

FLEDGLING WALDORF TEACHER

Personalized. Authentic.

"Meredith’s insight and expertise has been immensely helpful to me in my work as a fledgling Waldorf teacher. I have worked as her assistant, as a colleague, utilized her guides, and had one-on-one consulting sessions with her. Meredith provides practical, innovative, and highly organized materials for anyone seeking guidance in Waldorf teaching. She is always my first suggestion for anyone seeking resources on lesson planning and providing a framework for creating a personalized and authentic Waldorf curriculum." ~David

HAPPY HOMESCHOOLER

"Very helpful."

"I'm a home educating mum, so while some of the course applied more to a classroom setting, I found the process of evaluating my children as a Waldorf teacher very helpful. It was very helpful having a supportive and experienced Waldorf classroom teacher guide me in this process without turning my home into a schoolroom." ~Angie

GRATEFUL TEACHER

Insightful. Inspiring.

"Taking Meredith's course was one of the best things I've done for myself in a long time. As a Waldorf teacher, there is just so much to sort through in a summer (and darn it if I don't also want a break too!) and through the course, she helped me to prioritize and streamline the whole process of creating my curriculum and organizing my class and my year. I'm actually good at that on my own, but somehow following Meredith's path just made it feel EASIER! She's insightful and inspiring and brings different resources than the ones that are popular in my school. I'm so grateful that I took the plunge, didn't have to do it all by myself, and learned so much too. The start of this school year is definitely the better for it already. ~April
