Grade 5 Ancient Civilizations

$40.00

I’m so excited to finally offer a refreshed and updated version of my grade 5 guides. We started the year with an exciting Ancient Civilizations block that included stories from China about The Monkey King, India — The Ramayana and the Life of Buddha, and Persia — Zarathustra.

The block provided the perfect backdrop for my students to remember what it was like to be in the classroom after months away. We worked on some of our old habits and routines, and set some new ones in place. And I had a great time finding new ways to teach the block (which I’ve taught four times before!)

Here’s what you’ll find in this curriculum guide.

  • Primary content resources

  • Background thoughts about WHY you teach the block

  • An overview of HOW to teach the block

  • A day-to-day content outline — straight from my teacher planner

  • Daily review suggestions, including sample compositions and drawings

  • Photos of sample main lesson book pages

  • All of the documents I use to keep our work organized and productive throughout the block

All of this material is delivered through a DIGITAL FILE that you will download after purchase. You will also receive a download link in your email inbox after the purchase is completed.

This new format allows me to easily share a lot of the content that I used, in a way that is accessible to you. Because the guide is over 100 pages of information with lots of images and links, it is best used in digital format. Open the pdf on your computer or device and you can use the links to hop around through the document or click on of the resource links to open pages on the web. I do not recommend using this guide in printed form.

Questions about digital purchases? Email me here, and I’ll answer them.
