Missing Them

Happy as I am to have long days to myself -- sleeping in, reading for pleasure, enjoying my children -- I am beginning to miss my students. What a strange thing it is to have over two weeks away from these little individuals with whom I usually spend most of my days!I'm currently traveling for the holidays, away from home, and I keep thinking of the mountain of work that sits on my desk back at home. • math test to correct
• dictations to correct
• classroom cleaning -- recovery from our holiday party, take down holiday decorations
• chalkboard drawing
• block prep -- including stories, artistic work and morning movement activities

I'll have two days -- Saturday and Sunday -- to get it all done. Then there's my house to think about!
