Oh, my students were so excited about this block. There’s nothing 9- and 10-year-olds love more than animals! We had fun exploring the different types of animals and learning a little more about the human being along the way.
We were learning entirely online for this block, though I didn’t find that this format interfered with our typical main lesson rhythm. If we had been in person we might have been able to take up more projects or perform our poems for friends and family, but we worked through the content and felt just as immersed in the material as ever.
